Without trees, the landscape feels a lot emptier and ruined, like it should after a nuclear apocalypse. Fallout 4 though, has a shitload of trees everywhere. In my opinion, this makes the environment feel too cluttered and alive.

This 1.1GB HD Texture Pack for Fallout 4 adds 10 thousand trees
I would prefer a mod that adds taller, better looking and more abundant grass with fluffier trees. I'd recommend Borealis Landscapes + Borealis Landscapes LOD. I'm on Xbox too, and that's the most performance friendly but most extensive I've used so far.
